		<description>Hi,

I have change the /etc/yum.repos.d files as indicated in this tutorial. for example for fedore.repo, the contents are:

[base]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Base
baseurl=http://archives.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/*****
mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-core-$releasever
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora

However, when running a yum commands such as yum check-update, I get the following error:

[root@domU-12-31-39-01-5D-05 ~]# yum check-update
Setting up repositories

http://archives.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/%2A%2A%2A%2A%2A/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 404: Date: Sun, 23 May 2010 03:48:03 GMT
Server: Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat)
Content-Length: 340
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
Trying other mirror.
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: updates-released
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from updates-released: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from updates-released: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

I couldn&#039;t continue the process from this step onwards. Could I please get some help?

Kind regards,</description>
